ASSAULT SUSPECT ARRESTED
Successful Capture in Rio Grande Valley (RGV)
On April 1, 2010, an individual knocked on the door of one our Rio Grande Valley customers. The door was answered by the housekeeper. The individual shown in the picture, which was captured by one of our cameras, attempted to gain entry by saying he had been requested to conduct some electrical repairs in the home. The housekeeper responded that she would have to call the homeowner to confirm the work. When she turned to go to the telephone, the assailant forced his way through the door and proceeded to beat the housekeeper with a hammer. Fortunately, the housekeeper was not seriously injured and was able to call the police when the assailant fled. When police arrived at the scene they noticed our cameras and requested the video for use as evidence in attempting to identify and capture the assailant. In addition to supplying the video to the police, Carla McCaleb, our South Texas Director, Sales & Marketing, immediately posted the video picture on Facebook. As a result of publicizing the photo of the alleged assailant, the suspect was turned in to police by the suspect’s mother and was subsequently arraigned on a felon assault charge.
